This is the story of Jason.
Jason and I matched on a dating app, Hinge.
I moved on from tinder and bumble. But don’t let hinge fool you, these guys are on all the dating sites. Just because I matched with Jason on Hinge, doesn’t mean that he didn’t have a tinder or a bumble.
He caught my eye because he had these mesmerizing light green eyes. Green just happens to be my favorite color.
He had just graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in business. Starting off his adult life on the grind. Ohhh, also fun fact..he’s fluent in French… ohh lala. Such sexy language. I took French in high school but ask me to say anything in French and all I can quote is Lady Marmalade, “Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir” (if you know, you know)
We made plans to go on our first date, which landed on St. Patty’s day. We decided to get brunch on Edgewood.

Saturday arrives, the Jason Date.
Every Saturday, I go to church. Yes, you read that right, Saturday. I consider myself, SDA.
So after my weekly dose of Jesus, prayer, and good vibes. I text Jason to tell him that church let out a bit earlier than expected and I’ll be on my way sooner than I thought.
Moment of truth…
I get to Edgewood, park for free, and walk towards the location he sent me.
I shake off the nerves and walk like the boss ass bitch I am.
We exchange an awkward hello and walk into the restaurant.
It’s this cute brunch location that I have never been to. We got the booth near the window. We sit across from one another, in this booth that’s made for six.
I ordered pancakes with my sides like bacon, scrambled eggs, and some other breakfast food.
And if I cannot remember what Jason ordered.
